Coach Omar hails from Egypt, where he was the top ranked junior for many years before playing professionally on the PSA World Tour.

He was previously part of the coaching team at the storied Wadi Degla club in Cairo, incubator to many of the world's top juniors and PSA players.  He was then recruited to the US and coached 3 years at the Greenwich Academy, CT (3-time US national high school champions during his tenure) and at LBSquash, working alongside Luke Butterworth.

Omar then returned to Egypt to establish his own junior coaching practice.  He mentored and developed Egyptian junior players to achieve success at the highest level worldwide. His students include:

- 2023 British Junior Open winner BU11

- 2023 British Junior Open winner GU11

- 2023 British Junior Open 3rd place GU13

- 2023 British Junior Open 5th place BU15

Omar has also mentored a number of top US junior players, including the 2023 British Junior Open BU13 semi-finalist.

 

Omar is among the few coaches with PSA level coaching experience: he has worked with a number of professional squash players ranked in the top 20 in the world.
